Can anyone else believe it’s almost summer? I can’t believe June is creeping up so quickly… but I love summer and am so excited to be at the beach for some rest, relaxation, sun, and fun!

Thinking of finding  a few cute pieces for summer? Today, I’m looking forward to sharing some style inspo:  summer essentials for your boho-chic wardrobe…  You can click on the product images to shop the post!

Shorts

In order to achieve the boho style, ruffled shorts, interesting prints, and denim are the way to go… I personally prefer neutrals because they can be paired with different blouses. But printed shorts are in style this season, and they are definitely a statement-maker for a boho-chic gal!

Madewell: Kingston Cover-Up Shorts in Hula Flower

Does warm weather put anyone else in an AMAZING mood? As someone with a spring birthday, my attitude and mood always perks up around springtime, drawing closer to summer.

If you’re been following this blog for the past several months, you know that I have absolutely no shame whatsoever about wearing floral prints throughout the week. It makes me feel girly and feminine, and I can’t help but gravitate towards anything relating to flowers. Ladies, you don’t need a man to buy you flowers. Just keep buying them for yourself, and he’ll get the hint that you like it… *sea of hilarity*

After a short hiatus from posting a blog post here, I’m happy to be back. Sorry to keep you waiting. This semester is coming to a close, and I have been submitting assignments. All the while, my moving date to Nashville is coming closer. Over the next two months, I am excited to share new content and style inspiration for you.

P.S. Today is my birthday- yayay. I am road tripping to Richmond next weekend with friends to celebrate. *sprinkles glitter all over everything *just kidding*

If you’re in need of a little date night style inspo, I’ve got you covered this week. For those of you who are in love with bohemian and indie-inspired styles with a touch of romance, I think you’ll be interested in discovering these affordable boutiques. Whether you’re going on a casual date with a new love interest or a long-time beau, finding a cute outfit for your next date is a fun-and-feminine process, and naturally indecisiveness about your outfit occasionally happens.

I am grateful to partner with several other bloggers in this post to share a message that many women today need to hear.

You are worthy. You are enough. You have something unique to offer.

Particularly on social media, people are bombarded with beautiful images- Instagram models, bloggers, and the highlights of other people’s lives. While social media has grown into a highly-creative world and space for self-expression, personal branding, and staying in touch friends and family, it has a dark side. That is comparison. The idea that someone else is more beautiful, successful, talented, and has a better life- or something that you want.

If you’re interested in traveling to Nashville, and looking for fun things to do, this post is for you. Nashville *aka Music City* *aka NashVegas*  is one of the fastest growing cities in the US, with 80-100 people moving there each day. (Not to mention one of the top destinations for Bachelor and Bachelorette parties…)  I love the city for its Southern charm, friendly people, community of creatives and artists, unique neighborhoods, and a kind of nightlife many other cities do not offer. As far as the music scene, Nashville was primarily known for country music for many years, however the scene has shifted to other genres such as alternative and indie music, among others.

While I’m writing to you today from Nashville while traveling, my wonderful friend Amanda Ghobadi snapped these images in Washington, DC a few weeks ago. My travels have been filled with amusement and interesting discoveries, and while I’ve been scrambling a bit over the past week to get everything situated for this transition, I’m keeping the faith that all will go as it is meant to. I’ve been fortunate to meet up with several friends in Nashville this week, and have already encountered many kind and interesting people. So far, I am grateful that everything has gone off without a hitch! After I return to DC, I’ll be publishing a blog post, sharing my favorite things to do in Nashville, so keep posted for it.
